Tapioca Layer Cake is a very popular Asian delicacies. It is a sweet, creamy dessert with multi-layered cake and attractive colour, usually served as aftermeals or as light refreshments. Now Pondan presents a new range of instant traditional cake mixes. It’s very easy to prepare and time saving.
Ingredients :
- Sugar
- Tapioca flour
- Rice flour
- Salt
- Vanilla flavour
- Pandan flavour
- Food Colour (E104).
TIPS:
Baking is done when toothpick inserted in centre of cake comes out clean.
How to make :

Bring steamer to boil.

Mix well Pondan Pandan Tapioca Layer cake mix with 325cc
cooked coconut milk using wooden spatula then sift.

Mix well Pondan Vanilla Tapioca Layer cake mix with the rest of cooked coconut milk (325cc) using wooden spatula then sift.

Put 50cc Pandan Tapioca Layer batter into oil greased rectangular baking pan (20x10x7 cm in volume) then steam with medium flame for 5 minutes. PUT 100cc Vanilla Tapioca Layer batter on top of Pandan Tapioca Layer then steam again for about 7 minutes. REPEAT this steps until all Pandan and Vanilla Tapioca Layer batter is used (for better appearance on the top layer, mix Vanilla Tapioca Layer batter with a tiny drop of red food colour).

Lift baking pan out of steamer then let it cool until Tapioca Layer Cake can be taken out from the pan. Ready to serve.
